The European Heart for Children Fundraising dinner was held at Congress Centre Fira Gran Via Barcelona.
Agropoli - stracittadina 2017
The Sporting Association “Libertas Agropoli”, together with the Half Marathon, organised in 2017 a Stracittadina: a non-competitive 2km walk/run, aiming to fundraise and promote the activities of European Heart for Children.
The event was highly publicised among the students and teachers from the “Gino Rossi Vairo Secondary School”, the “Gino Landol Secondary School” and the “San Marco Primary School”. As a result, 300 people, mainly children, attended the event. The Stracittadina was possible thanks to the generosity of “Nature’s Bounty” and of the local bank “BCC Comuni Cilentani”.

More than 40 tempting, 3-course menus from around the world,
combined with a comprehensive, but easy-to-understand
section about the cardiovascular system and the pathological
conditions which affect it with tips
for improving and maintaining a healthy heart.
AGROPOLI - STRACITTADINA 2017
Every year, since 1999, Agropoli holds the Half Marathon, an event born from an idea by Pietro Mennea, gold medal winner at the 1980 Moscow Olympics for the 200m run, after he visited and fell in love with the beauty of this area, in proximity of the Paestum Archeological Park. Due to the success of this event, Agropoli was chosen for the Annual National Half Marathon Championship, which was run on Oct 15, 2017. 711 athletes from all over Italy participated in the event.
Together with the Half Marathon, the Sport Association Libertas Agropoli, organised the Stracittadina, a non-competitive 2km walk/run, with the aim to fundraise and promote the activities of European Heart for Children.
The event was highly publicised among the students and teachers from the Junior High School Gino Rossi Vairo and from the Gino Landol Middle School and San Marco Elementary Schools.
As a result, 300 people, mainly children, attended the event.
The Stracittadina was also made possible thanks to the generosity of Nature’s Bounty and of the local bank BCC Comuni Cilentani. Since
the local population responded with such great enthusiasm to this year’s Stracittadina, the plan is to work towards turning it into an annual tradition to fundraise for European Heart for Children.
